I find it hard to do the wines justice at huge, walk-around tastings: (1) because you don&#039;t get to make side-by-side comparisons; and (2) because there is so much wine. I usually sit down with the catalog, and chose about 40 wines at which to aim. And when are people going to learn to step back from the counter once they&#039;ve been poured a sample? Elbowing one&#039;s way through a gaggle of people posing at the bar does not give one a proper attitude for evaluating wine.             </description>

		<description>Bruce, Good article.  I too found the Rhone Ranger tasting pretty bland.  It&#039;s sort of like the ZAP tastings- 100 Zins taste the same.  As a side bar, I did find some Grenache Blanc at quite a reasonable price for my private label Leslie Hennessy Winery.  Not quite Roussanne but damn good.</description>
